The high-power energy storage transformer unit is a core key equipment connecting large-scale energy storage battery clusters and the public power grid, dedicated to voltage conversion, power transmission and grid-adaptive regulation of high-capacity energy storage systems. Different from conventional power transformers, this unit is specially optimized for the bidirectional charging and discharging characteristics of energy storage systems, supporting high-power, high-efficiency and continuous bidirectional power conversion, and is mainly applicable to large-scale centralized energy storage power stations, industrial and commercial peak-shaving and valley-filling energy storage projects, and new energy grid-connected supporting energy storage scenarios. Its rated power level usually ranges from 500kW to several megawatts, and it can match high-capacity battery clusters of megawatt-hour level, realizing seamless docking between energy storage systems and 10kV, 35kV and other medium and high-voltage power grids.

In terms of technical structure and performance, the high-power energy storage transformer unit integrates a high-efficiency transformer body, bidirectional power conversion system (PCS), grid-connected protection device, harmonic suppression module and intelligent monitoring system. The core power conversion link adopts advanced three-phase full-bridge topological structure, which can achieve a power conversion efficiency of more than 98%, minimizing power loss during energy storage and power release. It has excellent grid-adaptive performance, which can automatically adapt to grid voltage fluctuation, frequency deviation and harmonic interference, and realize functions such as grid voltage regulation, frequency modulation and reactive power compensation while completing energy storage and power generation. In order to adapt to long-term high-load operation, the unit adopts an independent air-cooling or liquid-cooling heat dissipation system, which can effectively control the operating temperature of the equipment and avoid performance attenuation or equipment failure caused by long-term high-power operation.

In terms of system operation and industrial value, the high-power energy storage transformer unit undertakes the important task of energy transfer and grid security isolation in large energy storage systems. It can centrally integrate the electric energy of scattered battery clusters and feed it into the power grid in a standardized and stable manner, and can also convert grid electric energy into safe and stable voltage suitable for battery charging, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the entire energy storage power station.
